   We came on a Saturday night and the service was so slow. We waited for our table for 25 minutes after our reservation time. It took almost 2 hours for our entrees to arrive. The two meat dishes (pork, beef tenderloin) were overcooked and over seasoned. Actually quite a disappointment as we have loved Marche in the past.

   I've given this place a fair shot multiple times, but it is absolutely not worth the price. I've been 4 or 5 times and each time has been a total disappointment - I'm talking burnt food, undercooked and flat Gougeres, and "truffle" dishes with no truffle flavor at all. Marche is popular and will probably come up if you're new to town and ask for a restaurant recommendation. Don't waste your time or money here. The food might sound fancy, like a talented chef crafted the menu, but whoever cooks the food has terrible execution of the dishes. If you want actual good French food in Eugene, then go to Bar Purlieu.

   We've eaten here numerous times and have never had a bad experience or meal. We commented this last time how Marche manages to hire really good people. They are personable, caring and efficient. The menu changes regularly, capitalizing on what is fresh/available at the time. I had the trout with-wait for it-crab butter. It was so delicious. The skin was so crispy. My husband had the cassoulet. He has eaten a lot of cassoulet over his lifetime, and he truly enjoyed it. The red cabbage soup was sweet and hearty. Lovely. I will offer there are areas of the restaurant that are quieter than others, if you have hearing issues.

   What an awesome service we experienced! The Cassoulet and Trout were stellar. The beets are a must; even if you don’t prefer beets! Thanks Marche’ and Bill!

   Delicious food and incredible service. My daughter and I split a citrus and goat cheese salad and the smoke pork loin with brussel sprouts and whipped sweet potatoes. Both were extremely tasty!

   Our food was good. There was a problem with the gift card that we received from our son for Christmas. We ended up paying for the meal with a debit card. Today our son went to Marche with the receipt from when he bought the gift card on 12/23. Apparently the person who took his money and gave him the gift card typed in one wrong number which caused the card we received to have a $0 balance. Our son straightened everything out and we received a new gift card. Thank you

   Service was amazing as usual and the wine selection very nice as usual. The Tagine was disappointing vs. previous versions of this dish that Marche has offered over the years. The flavors were limited and missing the interesting characteristics of previous versions. Won't order this again. The Short Ribs were just OK; the sauce was overwhelming and rather bland, and the ribs were not the highest quality beef. Another dish not to order again. As always, the ambiance was enjoyable and wine and oysters very nice. Always a welcoming and comfortable restaurant. However, the main dishes were uninspired and disappointing vs. the many experiences at Marche over the past 20+ years.

   Great restaurant! Some of the best truffles I’ve ever had. Waiter was polite and very knowledgeable about the drinks and food menu! Will definitely come back if I’m in Eugene again! Gave my husband a complimentary dessert for his birthday too!
