At Matteos, we have been caring for our guests for over 25 years. We are inspired by bringing you classic dishes from the Northern and Southern regions of Italy. Our Chef shops at the finest markets daily, to bring you the freshest fish, prime meats and vegetables available. The food and service at Matteo's of Roslyn was outstanding! We had the Branzino and the Chicken Parm. As this was our first visit to this restaurant, we always try the Chicken Parm..if they can not get that simple staple correct, the rest of the meals probably won't be either. However, both were excellent! The portion size was large and could feed both of us. We selected our dishes from the fixed price menu. We enjoyed our meal so much, we took our family there the next evening and they agreed with us. The service was excellent as well. When the staff discovered we were eating "family style" (sharing), they took the extra step to cut up our dishes into sharing portions. They were attentive and went above and beyond with their service. As a former waiter in a high end restaurant, I was impressed with the quality of service provided My only critique would be the "house" wine served on the fixed price menu. I would have liked the option to upgrade it a glass on the regular menu. As this was done for several of the dishes on the menu...why not the wine? I found the house wine "disappointing" and a distraction from the overall meal. Highly recommended!

This was our first time to enjoy a meal at Matteo's Roslyn . We received a courteous welcome and seated right away. Our server was Nicole and very pleasant. We were not rushed to decide on our meal. When the meal was arrived it was just the right temperature. We enjoyed the whole experience and will return for future meals.
