   Meal was 10/10. Fried green tomatoes to split, rockfish w/ roasted potatoes and brussels sprouts for him, and mushroom risotto with broccoli for me. Incredible flavors with the correct textures (risotto and fish perfectly cooked, fried green tomatoes were crispy crunchy), food was hot and delicious. Our server Joyce even made sure to omit bacon on the Brussels sprouts for Friday in lent and gave great cocktail recommendations from bartender Ted. Amazing, would not hesitate to recommend!

   Server took way too much time gabbing at tables. Food sitting in window as I walked by. Ours was served barely warm. Some partially cold. Ribs were the worst I have ever been served. Over done leather like bark/crust, dry. Collards soaked in vinegar. Risotto? More like soup with long grain rice. Cheese fritters cold on the inside.

   Place is AWESOME!!! Absolutely delicious food as went both nights I was visiting town. Can’t recommend it more…will definitely be back. :) Great job Maya!

   The service was very good (Brie), as was the food. I had the oysters with collards and cheesy grits. In my opinion, it is quite difficult to prepare fried oysters well. These were very good. Most restaurants overcook them and they are rubbery inside and have little flavor. These, on the other hand were still juicy inside and had the unique flavor of oysters. The "sides" also were quite good. We were seated in the bar area which was crowded and a bit louder than what we've experienced in the main dining room.

   This was my first time eating at Maya and it exceeded expectations. We had the pimento cheese fritters for an appetizer. I had their duck which was on special along with their grits and mac-n-cheese. My fiancee had rockfish, broccoli and roasted potatoes. Everything we ordered was excellent. We will definitely be going back.

   Food was great, drinks were yummy and made well, and our waiter was very hospitable. Highly enjoyable experience.

   Wonderful Valentines Day weekend dinner. The waitress was fantastic and attentive, food brought out in reasonable amount of time. The cheese fritters were delicious for an appetizer. Both main meals (one of us had steak, the other had the Rockfish) were great. We will be back!

   The food was great (mushroom risotto, steak, gluten-free chocolate torte), our server Joyce was amazing, and the ambiance at Maya was lovely! They were careful to note all food allergies, and the gluten-free food was truly gluten-free (and celiac-friendly).

    Wanted to try Maya for the first time- but for a the prefix Valentine’s Day menu it fell short. The ambiance upstairs was bright lights and not intimate- art felt aggressive- and paper napkins felt a little low end - and yet a $200 dollar bill was the result of the prefix menu. Food was rich and sweet- the cocktail was great though. Overall disappointed for our special night out.
