Since opening its doors in 1983 , Memories of India is certainly a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike.

Close to Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall and the museums, Memories of India attracts many TV personalities, royalty and has been praised by food critics and writers, including Fay Masschler and the late Egon Ronay.

The chef's prepare an indulgent mix of exotic flavours and spices, including a number of staple dishes like the chicken tikka masala, as well as original dishes like Officers' chops in a honey soy sauce, or lemon sole dipped in a blend of spices, mango extract, garlic and red chilli. There are specialities from the tandoori oven, vegetarian and gluten free choices and Gold Taste award winning desserts. With its delightful menu, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, Memories of India is an oasis.

Memories of India is a fantastic and authentic experience. The ambiance is wonderful and the food amazing. With fresh flavors and the perfect spice profile this restaurant is definitely a must when visiting the Chelsea area. Definitely will revisit and recommend to everyone looking for a delicious dining experience.

Open table took the reservation but when we got there a man behind the bar started yelling at us to get out because they weren’t open for another hour. Told him we have a reservation and he again yelled at us and said we don’t take reservations. The person working there was very rude so even if they opened for us at that moment we weren’t staying.

Always one of our favorite Indian restaurants in London. The staff is so nice and welcoming- we love the food - pretty no nonsense restaurant that we go to every summer we are here

Very enjoyable meal. We got great recommendations from the owner on some of the dishes. The meat platter for starter was best indian I have ever tasted. We will be back.
