Everything was excellent except, as usual, it was very loud. We started with the guacamole which I think is the best in the city. My friend had never been there and she agreed that it was among the best she had ever had. Margaritas were perfect and generous. I had my favorite - the Ox Eyes with an over easy egg. I am from the El Paso - Albuquerque area and this dish especially reminds me of the great Southwest cooking in that area. My friend had the variety plate with the taco & chicken enchilada. She felt it was terrific. Needless to say with the generous amount of food served we both took boxes home for the next day. I ordered the churros for dessert so she could taste them. They are better than the average churro and are served with chocolate dipping sauce and ice cream. I have to admit I can’t do a bad review of this restaurant because it is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the DFW area - so I am biased.

The food was good as usual. The service was terrible which isn’t usually a problem at this restaurant. Slow. Lots of mistakes.

We waited 15 mins before our waiter came to our table. And that is only after we asked. After he took our dink order it took 15 mins more to get our drinks. However, the food was tasty.

We both ordered a cup of tortilla soup for $5. I always like to try a soup when I can. It was very tasty. I’m glad they offered it at that price for a nice single appetizer. My husband got the pollo Agave which was a breaded chicken breast with mushroom sauce, Chile mashed potatoes and a chayote slaw. I tasted the sauce and was surprised it was heavily laced with sherry wine. I don’t generally get steak but was intrigued by the New Mexico tampequenia with cheese enchiladas. The skirt steak was tasty but tough and chewy. I generally don’t order steak for this reason. It’s a difficult protein. The charro beans were excellent and now I know another preparation for chayote squash. This place has so many good choices but I wanted to try something different. I was sorry we didn’t share the Mucho Platillo. Best thing on the menu. Mi Dia doesn’t make Tex Mex. It’s completely different. Every dish is unexpected, delicious and beautifully prepared. I tried their margarita of the month made with cinnamon agave, tequila and pineapple. It was heavily smoked too, which I enjoyed. I liked the Riviera Maya better. We were too full for the Rocky Road ice cream but I highly recommend it.

Overall a great experience as usual. Came here on a date and it was very nice. Ambiance was great, food was outstanding, and service was prompt! Would certainly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, until we left, the experience we had at Mi Día was wonderful. Our server was so attentive, as is always the case when we dine there. The ambiance is warm and inviting. We were a party of two, and there were several families as well. This month they have a new margarita, with pineapple and chocolate and it was wonderful! We had the table-side guacamole, a must have. Delicious! For dinner I had the ox eyes enchiladas and my husband had the chile relleno with steak. Both dishes were excellent. The servings are always very large so bring your appetite! We love their flan, and ordered that to go, we were satisfied once we finished dinner and had no more room! We love this restaurant and will keep going back!
