Mia Francesca features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. It was one of the first restaurants in Chicago to encourage the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, simple, rustic cooking, friendly service, and fair prices.

Waiting for a table at the beautiful antique bar is part of the charm of Mia Francesca. The plush upstairs dining room and lounge can be reserved for private events, as can the more intimate coach house tucked away behind the restaurant. In the summer, al fresco dining is also available on a charming cobblestone terrace.

We had a fantastic time at Mia Francesca's tonight! Cannot believe it took us this long to visit after living down the street for 5+ years. We will definitely be back!

Our meal and experience was great. We were there on a very busy evening. Despite the noise level we enjoyed our dinner with our guests, and our waiter Michael was crazy good. He made the experience fun. We will be happy to return to Mia’s! Cheers.

We used to be regulars so I thought I would like to go back for my birthday. We ordered whitefish, Cod and Sausage & peppers and gnocchi. The fish was dry and whatever the brown sauce that came with sausage and peppers was gross. We also ordered the asparagus with blue cheese and the Francesca salad both of which were underwhelming. The desserts were very good and so was the service.

Had a lovely dinner with friends. The menu is full of winners, food was delicious. Our waiter Jack was attentive and fun. Manager/sommelier Kent checked in several times, very engaging. We felt welcome and cared-for.

Most of our meals were very good and service was excellent. Unfortunately, one of our pasta dishes was served cold twice, and the house salad was lacking a lot.
