   One of our favorite Sarasota restaurants: beautiful atmosphere(especially the covered outside patio which looks like Europe!),divine food and superb service! It never disappoints!

   I had boulabaise (sp) which was served without a bowl for shells or a spoon for broth. The spoon was brought after about ten minutes. I asked about a bowl and was told it was not provided (?), but the waiter would bring one, which he did.

   Overall a wonderful experience. The one hiccough was the calamari that was dried out and , in my opinion, not freshly made. This is an easy, yet necessary, fix.

   Another wonderful evening at Michael’s! Our server Gregory was extraordinary. We started with Michael‘s onion rings, which are always good, Followed by a Barratta salad Which was extraordinary. Our main courses, were the Wagyu steak, scallops, and shrimp and crabcakes. We shared all of the entrées and they were just beyond extraordinary. We can’t wait to return to Michael’s.

    This was our first time dining at Michael's. The outdoor dining atrium is beautiful. Our server Tamara was excellent. Unfortunately, our dinners were a bit disappointing. The burratta salad was nice but not special and the tomatoes were unripe. My husband's filet mignon was perfectly cooked but lacked flavor. The crab cakes were okay. Worst of all was the truffled mac and cheese which seemed to be just pasta in a thin cream sauce; no evidence of cheese or truffles. Because we hadn't eaten it and didn't want to take it home, Tamara kindly took it off the check. All in all, quite disappointing, especially when Michael's had been so enthusiastically recommended.
