Let me start by saying that we went on Christmas Eve and there was a prefix menu for $120 per person, which, in Santa Fe is pretty standard. However, both the quantity and the quality of the meal were substandard. The restaurant offered a 3 course meal (soup/salad, entree, dessert), with optional sides (an additional $16 each) and optional appetizers (an additional $20 each). For my meal, I will say that my entree was delicious. I got a perfectly cooked filet mignon with green chili mashed potatoes and asparagus. That was without a doubt, the best part of the meal. However, I also got a tiny caesar salad with some avocado thrown on top, and a tres leches dessert that was underwhelming. My wife got a rack of Lamb (which was cold), a small bowl of soup, which was fair, and a pecan pie so dry and hard that I could have hammered nails in with it. Honestly, I'm not certain it wasn't bought from a grocery store. Our server was wonderful, the ambiance was fine, but for the cost of the meal, I expected far better.

I usually really enjoy Midtown Bistro...but today it was really hot...and the food was not up to par. This was disappointing!

The restaurant was decorated with much thought. The wait staff seemed to enjoy working there. We were totally pleased with the presentation of the food and the taste…it is a little gem.

The place is very clean. Esthetically pleasing! Food was really good. Served hot. Dessert was just ok. No zing to the small piece of Key lime pie. Carrot cake was pretty good. $9.50 per dessert is pricey. Service is really nice. Will revisit soon.

Just popped in for some appetizers and Prosecco. We ordered the calamari and lobster cake with watercress salad. Wow!! Both were delicious! Great service too

Midtown Bistro was open for Thanksgiving which brought us to them. When I originally booked I was fine with a regular menu. Thankfully they called with plenty of notice that like most of the restaurants in Santa Fe, the dinner would be prix-fixe. There seemed to be more locals than tourists in the restaurant so it felt good to have the more local vibe. The soup and salad we got as starters were both just what we wanted. Each of us got the halibut entree which was delicious. We wrapped up with a carrot cake and a tres leches. I certainly hope that the higher cost for Thanksgiving was shared with all the staff working. They were super friendly and I loved watching how they engaged with each other.

Went for Thanksgiving and everything was perfect! The steak was cooked perfectly and the carrot cake was amazing!! Would highly recommend.
