   Respectfully, worst Bday celebration dinner. Went in knowing our cost would be pricey for 6 people, but the place was highly recommended. Because our Bday boy is worth every cent & we're willing to pay for what we get, we went. Seated at a table, which was just ok. I took the uncomfortable chair w/my back against a pillar not being able to easily get in/out. Figured better me than another in my group. We didn't see the same food offerings as the online menu - ordered anyway. Had a child with us (willing to pay adult price). He LOVES crab legs so that was ordered. When the crab legs arrived, we were pleased that they were cut in half making it easier to extract. However, the child did not like them. His parents asked if he could exchange the crab for another item. Understandably, the manager was needed. By then, I traded my steak for his crab thinking an item exchange was unnecessary. Looking forward to the crab but disgusted with what was handed to me. It was so overcooked/dry it was shriveled up inside the shell. A piece I managed to get out of another was rubbery and gross. I then politely asked for the manager. She was unfriendly and rude with blank expression on her face. Maybe she wasn't trained in customer service? I showed her my plate & called attention to the gross display. She simply stood over me, saying nothing. Thinking she didn't hear me as I was purposely talking quietly to not disturb other diners or bring attention to the disgusting food, I repeated my complaint. Still, NO RESPONSE. No offer to remove it/bring me something else. I finally pointed to my plate, looked at her and firmly said "No, I can't eat this. Please remove it." Then, she removed the plate and the item from our bill. SHE NEVER SAID A WORD. NO APOLOGY. NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. It was as if her intent was to shame me. More complaints about the food, but I'm limited to characters. NEVER AGAIN ChopHouse - NEVER AGAIN!

   It's good food but the ambiance is lower than mid. Kids playing, no dress code whatsoever (counted 8 people with hoodies and baseball caps, in different tables). For the prices you expect something more upscale. Server wasn't rude but not engaging or pleasant just polite, bare minimun. I don't expect 3 Michelin star attention but at least a dress code that is enforced.

   We normally don’t do the specials, but they had a Valentines special for two which consisted of a starter of goat cheese balls with a cracker like bread. Main course was surf and turf. Steak & grilled lobster were excellent. Steak was tender and flavorful as was the lobster. The accompanying risotto was delicious, with dessert being a trio of strawberry mousse with a chocolate cake base, a double chocolate cake with whipped cream, and chocolate covered strawberries. All were delicious! Service was excellent and made for a great experience.

   I felt the menu was very limited. Not a big selection in my opinion. The service was just mediocre. Drinks took a while to get to us once ordered, before dinner. Two drinks were ordered wrong by the waitress; she said she would take them off the bill and she did not. We did not make a big deal about that, we just paid the bill. Overall, just not very impressed. Don’t think we will be going back.
