    I'm a Riverside native and enjoy the Mission Inn, especially at Christmas time when it's so festive. I have eaten at the Mission Inn Restaurant three times this season. Once inside and two times on the patio. Two out of the three visits were great! Yesterday ...not so good from the beginning of our luncheon. It was a girls luncheon (6 of us) to celebrate the life of my niece who is passed on this October 25th. The gal who we checked in with did NOT seat us at our table as they usually do. She just said "your table's ready" and left us on our own. One of the waitresses on the patio had to guide us to our table. It took longer than usual for us to receive our straws that we asked for and to receive our meals. One of the meals was incorrect two times!! The seat covers were filthy and some of us had to use our napkins to sit on. Overall, very disappointed the service from the hostess and server.

    There are other restaurants at the Mission Inn. So this review is for the Mission Inn Restaturat. Dropped close to $500 and was not impressed with the meal or the menu. Granted we were there for the Festival of Lights and was told to have dinner there. Did not see that I needed to have dinner there so if you wanna go see the lights do so without needing to dine at Mission Inn. Food was average. Very basic menu but the prices were that of a highly rated restaurant. $500 for 3 adults and a toddler. 2 cocktails 1 bottle of wine 2 entrees 3 appetizers and 2 desserts. Food was bland and nothing to write home about.. I put it like this…. If you can cook better than me, and I am average, you will get a good review. BUT if I can do better well here we are,… SERVICE was very good so there is that!! But they need t make their food and menu more vibrant fo the prices they charge. There is a steak house and a Mexican restaurant to try next time..

    I ordered the mission burger , it was HORRIBLE..I didn't even finish it . the meat was tough and tasted horrible.

    Wonderful setting, fantastic food and our waiter was really wonderful. He (Arturo?) was so patient with us and our senior minds- changing drinks and asking him questions. He delighted our friend by letting her try to speak Spanish! Thank you for a great memory!

    The food was extremely bland with NO taste, even with added salt. We ordered the french dip and it was the worst I've ever had. We come here every Christmas and after 15 years, I'm never coming back. Service minimal, Checked on us once and it wasn't very busy. Many empty tables. UGH
