   The evening started slow with my OpenTable reservation not being recorded and available. The staff reacted well and were able to seat us however. Then the initial service was very slow. After that the evening improved markedly. Friendly server, excellent salads (We had the beet salad and the pear salad) and Tuscan bread (I may go back and order a loaf of bread for take out.) Bolongese, Capacino, Seafood Carbonera, and Halibut were very good.

   Food was amazing! It was dinner rush so service was as expected. Our server was great. Definitely coming back and referring to friends and family

   Lunch is reasonably priced at this excellent restaurant. Always a terrific meal with efficient service. Lovely outdoor seating.

   Consistently 5 Stars. Very unique flavor combinations that are executed perfectly. Modesto is one of our favorite restaurants in the entire country.

   Modesto is a great dinner option, but we enjoy going for lunch, too. During the week it is a bit quieter than most restaurants, the food is fantastic and the service is superb. Plenty of parking options close by as well. Highly recommend Modesto!

   I entertained clients at lunch. They loved it and wondered why they had not discovered it before. They were already checking their calendars to find a time to return for dinner. I always look for a reason to be downtown for lunch there but I also enjoy Modesto for dining before a concert.

   It's a very small venue, and the tables are close together. The food is excellent, the service good, with the noise level of a busy restaurant. Portions are enough for two, so you don't feel bad sharing entrees. There is no bread service, but you have to ask for it. It's pizza dough in a small slab. Owners should look for a larger venue to accommodate a more pleasant environment. Overall it's worth a visit while in Asheville.

    Haven’t been here in quite some time and decided to come back for dinner before the show at NC Stage. Great food and very generous portions! Four in our party each ordered something different and we were all very pleased. My husband who has a “healthy” appetite actually took some of his lasagna home! Would definitely come back
