Dined here many times with family and friends. Unanimous opinion that this is one of the best restaurants in Orange County. Among my guests and me, we have tried nearly everything on the menu over the years. It has been a pretty stable menu sprinkled with nightly specials. Everything is great and consistent. I love the cioppino (with lemon slices), salmon entree, swordfish (a frequent special), lasagna, the risottos, and the pastas on the side. The Italiana salad is my favorite with extra dressing on the side. Usually don't eat dessert but the lemon cheesecake and tiramisu are both outstanding. Service is impeccable. Wine list is sophisticated but we bring our own wine. Corkage is very reasonable.

Our server, Aldo, was really great. He seems to really like his job. He made us feel right at home and was so helpful. He checked on us regularly. One of the owners even came over to make sure everything was to our liking. I always love this place. The mushroom appetizer is so tasty. It has a lively feel to it. My salmon pasta was really delicious. You can tell that the pasta is made in house. Love this neighborhood gem.

The atmosphere and the seating arrangements are lovely, calming and comfortable. We happened to dine around sunset, and you could view the glorious sky from most areas of the restaurant. Spencer was our server and he was very friendly and attentive. And the other restaurant helpers were quick to respond to any request. The food was delicious. I enjoyed a new vegetarian rigatoni pasta with eggplant and marinara sauce that was both copious and delicious. And the wine menu was also very accommodating with many choices in price and varietals. Everything was great EXCEPT the Vongole. If you love Vongole do not eat it here. The dish was a dark broth of French onion soup with clams. Horrible... very salty & not traditional Vongole.

A fantastic place for dinner in the Crystal Coast Shopping Center. Parking has been rough lately but Modo Mio is worth the few laps around the parking lot need to eat there.

Amazing menu selections - everything was fresh and delicious. The specially prepared calamari was exceptional, as was the cioppino and pasta. Our waiter Blake was spot on and very attentive, even with the craziness of Valentine’s Day. Can’t wait to go back!
