Our waiter Trence was amazingly attentive and fun to work with. He’s a keeper and we are not related to him in any way.

It's been a few years since we ate here. While always very good, this time was excellent. I had a crab cake, shrimp and scallops. They were perfect. My friend had a steak which was actually better than the steak houses I have eaten at. The view of course is spectacular, and our server, Holly was delightful.

I really loved everything, we celebrated New Year's with my family and we made the perfect decision to go there, everything was exceptional, the food, the service and above all the view of Pittsburgh which is breathtaking, it is super cozy but at the same time very open and divided into parts. You won't regret it!!

Wonderful way to spend New Years Eve! Always the best time at Monterey Bay! Our server was wonderful & we had a great meal.

Service Excellence at its finest!!! From the moment we arrived….. the Valet was Professional Courteous and Friendly, we were seated right away by Professional Courteous And Friendly staff, the manager came an introduced himself before we even got started to insure if we needed we could let him know to our attendant Danae (sincerest apologies for misspelling) her Service ALL Evening was Top Notch, she provided just enough space to give us privacy while being there to meet our every need! She knew the menu and answered every question and gave good suggestions. The Meal was Delicious, cooked perfectly seasoned perfectly, temperature perfect. Appetizers: shrimp cocktail and Fried Risotto stuffed with Lobster and cheese (can I say OMG to this stuffed amazing appetizer) we both had a Mediterranean Salad which was perfect and I Had as a main the Branzino which was covered in perfectly roasted tomatoes and olives with a share side of perfectly prepared Brussel Sprouts and he had Filet and we ended the night with their birthday celebration sweet treat grilled cheese Dessert it was perfect. Everything was perfect. Thank You for the Perfect End to 2024 Monterey Bay and you made me feel special on my birthday. As I started my dissertation….Service Excellence!!!

We were sat earlier than our reservation, view was AMAZING as was the food! Our server I think *Holly* was wonderful! I wanted to give my daughter a wonderful New Years dinner with a view of the city and this exceeded expectations! Thank you!

A “must-dine” location in Pittsburgh. Outstanding views of the city from atop Mt Washington with top quality sea food preparations. Spectacular high ceilings with walls of glass facing the city’s beautifully lit bridges. This is our go to restaurant for special occasions… especially New Year’s Eve… but make your reservation early because they sell out. Service is always excellent. Go to the cozy bar on the lower level ahead of dinner for drinks with a great city view.

This was my third visit to Monterey Bay. Our table by the window was perfect. We were visited by the floor manager, the food runner, Dani, the sous chef, Ulysses and a few others. They made our experience perfect. Every meal for our party of seven was delicious. I would consider this restaurant a top choice if you want to something above and beyond. Well done, Monterey!
