It’s winter, and we had a table by the window. Watched sunset and the beautiful colors in the sky and in the waves. And the sound of the waves added another dimension. This kind of atmosphere and scenery is rare, and that’s why we would come back. Whereas the food? It’s OK. To us it seemed overpriced for the quality of cooking. For example I had a filet mignon, which was more medium done than medium-rare, not much flavor in the sauce, the mashed potato rather bland. The quality of the meat seemed excellent, very tender, but also that’s spinach was boring and a bit of overcooked. So I think in summary, if you want to come for an atmospheric romantic night and enjoy the scenery, this is the perfect place . The service was wonderful.

Moonshadows is, and consistently remains one of my favorite places to go in SoCal. The atmosphere, the cocktails, the menu, the staff.. everything is great. On our most recent visit, Sonia (sp) was especially accomodating when we chose to move from patio to bar, mid-meal, the staff knows how to make everyone feel welcome and have a great time. Over and over, Moonshadows delivers.

Had a great time dining with my wife at moonshadows. We started at the bar and worked our way to our table. The staff was kind enough to sit us by the window. Great views of the water and great food to go with it.

One our favorite and go to restaurants in California. We enjoy the ambience and ocean views from the patio. We miss Andrea and his smile. Great for date night or special occasion.

Great restaurant. Great valet. Great hosts. Great servers. Great bussers. Great food. But the greatest thing of them all is the views. Amazing place to watch the sunset while eating delicious food. The lobster and crab linguine was my favorite dish we tried. Checking out the McLaren 600LT out front after dinner was fun too.

Food quality was very below average. Lobster role had no taste. Also had the miso cod which had a bitter and burnt taste. The tuna tartare was good though

My friend has been telling me about this place all year. I took my family here for the Christmas weekend and we really enjoyed it. The ambiance was great and so was the food! I also forgot my purse on my way out and they ran over to give it to me. Highly recommend this lovely spot!
