Not an actual omakase. We should have researched more or asked more questions before making the reservation but their omakase is just a tasting menu and not an actual omakase experience. Only 1 of the 8 courses was actually sushi delivered by the chef. We sat at the counter to have a fun experience with the chef’s which did not happen. One of the courses is just flavored ice with a shiso leaf. While the atmosphere was amazing and the explanations of the dishes was fun it was ultimately not an omakase experience. For the price point I also expected slightly better service, drinks left empty and waiting. Also at $450 for 2 people I either expected larger portions or more courses. We left still hungry. Amazing flavors and had a good time. But ultimately felt mislead and robbed.

Wife and I attended and had drinks, apps, dinner, and a dessert. Drinks - Morimoto Martini and a Negroni with Bluecoat. Great value and quality. App - both had an order of Pork Gyoza. We are enthusiastic about Gyozas at all Japanese restaurants we have and plan to attend. I will say, the gyoza at Morimoto were left desired. Flavor profile was not there, and frankly tasted rather hot dog like which was a turn off. We did not get much depth of flavor from what you would expect in a Gyoza (example, ginger/ garlic/ green onion, cabbage/ or other). Dipping sauce was good though. Dinner - we had the crab fried rice and the cha soba. Both excellent and surpassed expectations. Great depth of flavor, portion size, and quality. The touch of REAL Wasabi with the cha was great. Highly recommend for those that prefer something lighter or vegi/vegan. Dessert - Fiery Chocolate and Sorbet trio. The fiery chocolate severed table side with a flaming liquor. Adds some wow to the mix of the dinning experience. Great textures from the softness of the cake, subtle bite to the caramelized banana, crunch of chocolate and gram. Perfect deserts.

The experience was immaculate ! The food, the waiter Andrew gave me an amazing experience. We had a hiccup when my drink fell but it still didn’t bother me because everything else was perfect for my birthday. Thank you!

We were a little disappointed that only the hostess wished us a happy anniversary. The food was excellent but it came out all at once and overwhelmed us. It would have been nice to have it in courses. We felt that our server was pushy and spoke down to us. The food was great.

Great service and atmosphere! While the food is good, the portions (at least the sushi rolls) aren't particularly large so be sure to order accordingly based on how hungry you are.

My two friends and I have a standing monthly dinner date and for this month we decided to go to Morimoto to celebrate a new job one of us got, and SHOOT did it not disappoint!! This was one of the best meals all three of us have ever had. Our server was so kind and able to give us good recommendations for menu items, the service in general is so sophisticated and quick and they make you feel so important! We ordered a variety of items ranging from hot appetizers, to sushi, ramen bowls, and finished with what we all decided was the best dessert of our lives. 13/10 experience. Would recommend to anyone!
