   Well, what was on the website was short ribs and they did not have it. They also served ice cold fries with the overdone ribeye and luke warm shrimp and grits. The replacement steak of filet was inedible due to the really strong smoke flavor. The opening cocktail of straight Tito’s was undrinkable due to some other ingredient added.

   Always a favorite when we are in town. Can’t beat the shrimp and grits and bbbq shrimp.

   Service started out great and as more tables were seated the service declined. We received our starters and initial drinks in a very reasonable amount of time. Our main course took a long time to come out and when it did my steak was rare when ordered medium. I did not complain or send it back, I ate what I could and moved on (the idea of sending it back is kind of disgusting to me). There were some overtures to make up for the experience including another complimentary starter while we were waiting for our main course. I’ve heard good things from quite a few people I know so I’m not sure I would hold one night against them. I would probably give it another chance.

   Food was great. No complaints at all. The only “issue” was we checked the menu on the website before dinner and was really looking forward to the short ribs. Sadly we were told the menu had changed and the website hadn’t been updated yet.

   Mr B's was, overall, the perfect way to end a good week full of good food in NOLA. The braised short rib dinner was very good. The bacon- wrapped shrimp and grits dish was one of the best renditions of that dish we've ever had, and we have sampled many. The Gallette de Roi (king cake) was fabulous, and, as a bonus, it wasn't covered with the bizarre -- and to me, off-putting -- purple, green and gold colors that the store bought ones have. Finally, our server, Rasheed, turned a great meal into an overall superb evening. He was efficient and helpful without being intrusive, very personable to talk to, and he provided thoughtful insights as we asked about some of the dishes and how they might appeal to our preferences. He was extremely professional, and yet he felt like a friend by the time we left. (If the management is reading this, you need to hold on to this guy with both hands. Give him a promotion and a big raise to ensure no one else snaps him up.) We'll definitely go back to Mr. Bs the next time we're in New Orleans.

   The meal was by far the most average meal we have had in New Orleans. We were so looking forward to another delicious meal for our final night in the city. Needless to say, that was not the case. My wife ordered the “jumbo” scallop dish and the scallops were definitely not jumbo and they were barely warm when served. I chose the boneless braised beef rib and was expecting a tender, fall apart, portion of meat. Instead what I got was a fatty sinewy portion that was not enjoyable to eat. I couldn’t finish my meal. The one positive note was the duck spring rolls we got as a starter were delicious.

    We loved Mr. B's. The food and service was top notch. We were craving the BBQ Shrimp for days later. We will definitely go back on our next visit to New Orleans.
