I had booked a table for myself and my 95 year old mum and was initially apprehensive ( as mum is very fragile and wobbly on her feet) when we opened the door to find the restaurant packed with people - some of whom were waiting for tables . Our waitress found us a quiet table in a corner near the carvery and then when I went to the bar to order food I was served straight away . We were second in the queue to choose our carvery meal , which was delicious . All the waiting staff that we met were polite and charming - although the restaurant was very busy - we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Delightful! The four of us were quietly celebrating a birthday. The attention given to us by the staff was perfect. Attentive and not intrusive. The food was just fabulous. I had the crab fish cakes to start and the beef roast dinner with a cheeky cauliflower cheese. Then finishing with a caramel Eaton mess and coffee. I can honestly say it was the best meal out we have had for ages. Thank you

We had an amazing meal whilst visiting the Baiting House the food was well presented and had amazing flavours. I would highly recommend this location and I will be sure to visit again in the future. Thank you to all the amazing staff

Saturday lunch in the restaurant, 4 adults and one child… warm and friendly reception drinks order taken without delay and menus provided…. always a good choice and regular changes to the menu. Started with turkey scotch egg, baked Camembert to share all devoured… main courses of pizza, pork belly, fish and chips and blade of beef…. very good sized portions, all cooked well and presented impeccably… service was excellent no room for desserts except ice cream for my granddaughter quickly finished and asked for another… opted for Irish coffees … excellent

Delicious food, attentive and helpful staff. Made it special for a big celebration. Beautiful, cost decor inside. Good selection of food including kids menu. Decent portions and respectable price.
