Izakaya Den is Denver’s popular Japanese gastropub, modeled after the lively after hours establishments found throughout Japan.     Wanted to love it. Sushi was good! Server only quickly asked how everything was and some people said good but I twice I said the food was cool. He was busy and not listening or making eye contact. It was cool temp wise and we ordered ribeye and potatoes - 4 of us. I tried to tell him twice without making anyone uncomfortable, as it was my bday and I didn’t want to bring attention o the fact that I was disappointed . And he forgot my friend’s drink 3 times. We flagged down another server and got it. Other than that, everything was great!

    Our first time at this restaurant and it exceeded expectations. From the moment we walked in the door to the time we left we were treated warmly and had the impression they enjoyed having us there. Our server, Matthew, was especially outstanding and his recommendations were top notch. All of our dishes were tasty and not your every day Italian fare. Our favorite was the creamy polenta and meatball antipasta. We are already planning our next visit!

    Came to Olivia to celebrate the new house we bought with my husband and parents. We love Olivia, the price is not for the faint of heart but the experience is always so wonderful. Staff are polite and attentive (without being annoying), my mom wanted some drink concoction that they didn't have the ingredients to make but the bartender took the time to whip up something custom that she ended up loving. Food is always exceptional start to finish.
