Entering the Saloon, a family owned restaurant since it opened in 1967 is a bit like stepping into Philadelphia's past. Dark oak paneling, shiny brass and authentic local antiques create a warm congenial and casual atmosphere. The choice of two comfortable dining rooms each with its own vintage bars make dining and conversation a relaxed and enjoyable experience.     Our Christmas Eve dinner was fabulous, we did all seafood dishes from appetizers to entrees, and everything was delicious, so tasty! The staff were all so friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend trying! We’ll be back!

    We went on Christmas Eve for drinks at the bar with friends and then a 5 course prix fixe dinner for 2. Both experiences were fabulous. Quality bartender and the table service team was top notch: professionally urgent, menu advice, flexible to small adjustments, on top of clearing and packaging to go, no time holes in waiting for food or drinks, EXCELLENT FOOD. I am embarrassed I lived in Philly for 21 years before coming here. I have been missing out. Will definitely be back.

    Great food, ambience, and service. Alexis took great care of us. The chicken Milanese and poblano peppers were a hit. Drinks were excellent. A nice early Christmas treat for our family!
