The Pig and Whistle staff were always friendly, happy to answer questions. served a cake we brought from home, provided us three candles and lit them for us. The pub ambience is very relaxed, not noisey and the lunch servings were generous. The beers were cold, the steak cooked to perfection and the other dishes at the table - fish tacos, chicken parma, chicken pie and vegetarian pasta all looked great and were very tasty by all accounts.
