The noise level was extremely low until about 6:30pm then it did get a little louder in the restaurant since more customers came to eat around that time. The booths are a bit tight fitting so next time we will have to be sure to get a table! We will definitely be back to eat here! Discover Placerville
Placerville, like many northern California cities, got its start during the famous gold rush of the mid-nineteenth century. Its history is well-preserved, but its food scene is decidedly modern and eclectic. Solid Mexican food is a given, as it is in much of the state, but you can also find barbecue that aficionados deem "legit." Homey cafés offer dishes made from the freshest local ingredients, with artisanal twists that set them apart. Vegetarians and those avoiding gluten will find much to enjoy here, and for dessert you can savor a delicate crepe or a house-made scone alongside locally roasted coffee. Placerville is very much a mixture of old and new California, and it has the diversity and cutting-edge restaurant scene to make it a must-visit.
