- KKenvipChicago / Illinois •72 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI cannot count the number of visits we've had to The Girl and the Goat, but it continues to be a favorite for both personal and professional dining. I brought three colleagues, who have never been, to the restaurant for dinner. One diner is vegetarian, but there are menu offerings and options available to provide them with enough to eat. All three were quite impressed with the food. My only complaint would be our table was right next to the kitchen, which can be loud. However, we made due, and had an enjoyable meal. Service is always very good, and the cocktails are fun. If you're interested in dining, make sure you book way ahead, as there is almost no chance to get a table day of.More infoGirl & the GoatPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• West Loop•4.8
- SSeanvipChicago / Illinois •10 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe’ve been hesitant to visit the Walnut Room due to food allergies but decided to give it a try. From the moment we sat down, Jesus, our waiter, was so attentive. He noticed our allergen card in the table and immediately addressed it, letting us know he find out anything we needed to know and would talk to the chef personally to see what our son could eat. We’ve always wanted to visit this beautiful restaurant but never did out of fear of allergies. But Jesus helped to make this experience amazing for our whole family. Thank you for taking the time to understand our allergies and walk us through the menu. It was a great start to the holiday season. We will be back again!More infoThe Walnut Room - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Loop•4.7

Not the fault of the restaurant per se, but the noise does carry. Overall the food was amazing, the service was unbelievably good, and once the big party left, it was much quieter and enjoyable. I’d recommend coming here!More infoPeanut Park TrattoriaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Little Italy / University Village•4.7

Discover Little Italy
By 1927, Italians in Chicago owned more than 250 restaurants. Their innovations -- such as deep-dish pizza and mass-produced gyros -- still influence the Little Italy dining scene today. There are at least three theories about who invented the iconic Italian beef sandwich. Or course, you won't care who originated it when you’re sinking your teeth into one that’s dripping with hot gravy. Don’t even think of leaving town without savoring the intense flavor of a dry-aged rib eye. Order traditional Chicken Vesuvio for a pleasing pop of garlic, and if you’ve always wanted to cry, "Opa!" in a crowded restaurant, ask for saganaki cheese flambeed tableside. Do you still have room for dessert? Try a local brownie. The original was invented right here by Bertha Palmer, who whipped up the first batch for the Chicago World's Fair in 1893.
