- DDebbieVIPChicago / Illinois •150 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWildfire rarely disappoints. This time our waitstaff, Mary M, went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience! She was so attentive, without being pushy. She was friendly and always had a smile on her face. The restaurant was really busy (with the holidays) and she was always available. The food was cooked perfectly and a good time was had by all of us. Thank you Mary!More infoWildfire - GlenviewPrice: Moderate• American• Glenview•4.7
- KHKeriHVIPChicago / Illinois •14 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThis was a girls night out to celebrate a birthday and the holidays. My favorite thing about Ema - aside from how delicious and creative the food is - is that the portion sizes are big enough to share, but not so huge that you feel guilty ordering multiple dishes. There were six of us and we ordered a variety of cocktails (which were beautifully presented) followed by several dishes from all sections of the menu. We started with the classic hummus and the toasted almond & garlic spread. The hummus was predictably delicious, but the real standout was the toasted almond garlic spread. It was crunchy and nutty and had lots of flavor. We next had the chopped salad and the big eye tuna with Honeycrisp apple and pomegranate seeds. The chopped salad had a pleasantly surprising bit of spice to it, which we all enjoyed but….the tuna preparation was stellar and is a relatively new add to the menu. Ema’s previous tuna dish – from October – included watermelon, but this dish was truly spectacular! The bright pop of color and tartness in the pomegranate, paired with the tuna and diced apple, along with the mint… Made it look like Christmas on a plate. SK SO good!! We then had falafel, brussels sprouts and brown butter dates. The falafel is crunchy and flavorful, and served with a beet-laced tzatziki. The brussels sprouts were prepared with shallots and pumpkin seeds and a subtle hint of sticky sweetness. The dates were fine, but nobody was raving about them like we did the other dishes. We finished our meal with the harissa crusted halibut, and the cauliflower kebab. Both were excellent, although my personal favorite was the halibut. It is served on a bed of mushrooms, in a Dashi broth with a spicy crust on top. The fish was tender and flaky and full of flavor. Service (Morgan) was attentive but not annoying; ambience is chic and classy but comfortable. You would never know you are in a parking lot in Glenview as opposed to a terrace in the Mediterranean.More infoEma - GlenviewPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Glenview•4.7
- LlindaVIPColumbus •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 1, 2024City type food & drinks in the suburbs. Super fun cocktail menu, well curated wine list, great wide selection of savory well portioned quality food. In general, the selection of choices re wine and food is quality over quantity. Totally recommend.More infoTavern on the GlenPrice: Moderate• American• Glenview•4.1
- MMary EllenChicago / Illinois •96 reviews4.0Dined on Nov 24, 2024Food was good, we ordered the custom scrambler and the baked oatmeal. Appreciated the individual coffee thermos left at the table, but hardly enough cream to be shared and we could never find our waitress for more and we waited a very long time for our check. I’d go back, the service just needs some refinementMore infoEggspresso - GlenviewPrice: Moderate• Breakfast• Glenview•4.4

What better place to try deep-dish pizza or an Italian beef sandwich than in the North Suburbs of Glenview? The mother of all Chicago exports, deep-dish pizza is probably what the area is best known for, and no two restaurants serve it the same way. The Italian beef sandwich is another regional specialty - it was developed in the area during the 1930s to serve guests at Italian weddings. You'll get thin slices of roast beef on a long Italian roll, laden with sauce, spices, and history. When you’re ready to move beyond the classics, treat yourself to Glenview’s lively Armenian scene with tender lamb kabob and honeyed paklava. Delicious barbecue, Greek cuisine, Korean tofu and so much more makes Glenview a food haven whether your taste buds lean more traditional or more exploratory.
