- GGeraldineLos Angeles •11 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 2, 2025The best prime rib dinner we've had in like forever! Thick and juicy, medium rare was the best and not over salted or fatty. We had the creamed corn, spinach, mashed potatoes, gravy and the Yorkshire Pudding. We started with the wedge salad with roquefort dressing with big chunks of bacon. We had creme brûlée for dessert and the hot fudge sundae. We loved Tam O' Shanter and will return again to celebrate!!! The waiters were very observant and knew when we needed ice tea refills, attended to our needs and were friendly and respectful. Ambience was quiet, intimate, low key, we went there in the early afternoon so it was quiet. We definitely will go back and highly recommend this place with the best food, ambience, staff and plenty of parking.More infoTam O'ShanterPrice: Moderate• American• Los Feliz•4.5

Discover Elysian Valley
Elysian Valley is better known to Angelenos as Frogtown. Like an island community, the neighborhood by the banks of one of the few remaining river-like portions of the Los Angeles River has a local art and food culture that dwarfs its small size and population. For years, only one American-style burger restaurant served Frogtown. Now, restaurants offering upscale Mexican and Spanish cuisine and small plates like tapas fill the area. Contemporary American food shares space with music venues and sandwich cafes. You will find more lunch and dinner options than breakfast choices. Elysian Valley is a small neighborhood that blends art, community and culture in a quirky, creative food scene.
