As always, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the service was nothing short of exceptional. Geronimo truly knows how to make every occasion feel special. The food, as expected, was beautifully prepared and delicious. However, we couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed by some of the recent changes to the menu. One of my go-to dishes, the beef tenderloin, now comes with couscous instead of the beloved potato terrine. While I tried the couscous on a previous visit (August 2024) I was sad to see it was still on the menu. It was not to my liking, I really missed the rich, comforting layers of the terrine that used to complete the dish so perfectly. We were also a bit let down to see that some of our favorite starters, like the beef carpaccio, had disappeared from the menu. That said, Geronimo remains a gem in Santa Fe’s dining scene. The quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff continue to impress, and the night still felt special for our birthday boy. We’ll certainly be back, hoping to see a few of those favorites return or to discover new ones that capture our hearts just the same.More infoGeronimoPrice: Very Expensive• Fusion / Eclectic• Santa Fe•4.9

Quietly available to refill wine glasses or remove unneeded plates. Scallops with mushroom risotto was delicious and perfectly prepared. The pork chop was perfectly cooked. Don’t overlook the apple and fig salad. Beautiful presentation and the vinaigrette was perfectly balanced with the fruit. Highly recommend this favorite of mine.More infoSantacafePrice: Moderate• American• Santa Fe•4.7

Spicy Cucumber & Avocado Salad – A refreshing start to the meal, this salad is the perfect balance of crisp and creamy. The cucumbers bring a bright, cooling crunch, while the avocado adds a silky richness. Tossed in a delicately spicy dressing, every bite is vibrant, with just the right amount of heat to awaken the palate. Crispy Spicy Tuna – This dish is a masterpiece. The contrast between the crispy rice and the buttery, spicy tuna is divine. Each bite offers a satisfying crunch, followed by the bold umami of the tuna, enhanced by just the right amount of spice. It’s the kind of dish that lingers on your mind long after the meal. Izanami’s Famous Smoked Pork Ribs – Simply put, these ribs are unforgettable. Slow-smoked to perfection, they fall off the bone with ease, carrying a deep, smoky flavor that’s rich yet perfectly balanced. The glaze provides a slightly sweet and savory umami finish that keeps you coming back for more. This is comfort food elevated to an art form. Hōjicha Panna Cotta – A perfect ending to the meal. The roasted hōjicha tea infuses the panna cotta with a warm, nutty depth, setting it apart from any ordinary dessert. It’s luxuriously smooth, delicately sweet, and paired with just the right accents to highlight its earthy, caramelized flavors. A must-try for anyone who appreciates a refined, yet comforting dessert. From start to finish, Izanami delivers an experience that is both innovative and deeply satisfying. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, highlighting fresh, high-quality ingredients with a balance of flavors and textures that keep you coming back. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning guest, these selections are an absolute must-try.More infoIzanamiPrice: Expensive• Creative Japanese• Santa Fe•4.8

- VVeronicaVIPNew Mexico •9 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 9, 2025Excellent food! We have been going to Red Sage since it opened. We stopped going for a long time. The food was bland and not cooked correctly or seasoned. Recently it’s been getting better and better. This week it was on point! The new manger Jimmy has made a huge difference and the food has never been better. For all those who live in or around the Pojoaque area, no need to go into Santa Fe, Red Sage has you covered and it is great!!More infoRed Sage RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Santa Fe•3.8
Discover Las Vegas
The other Las Vegas – the one in New Mexico – is a small, charming city with an accent on southwestern cuisine. Restaurants are clustered in a few areas. In the western part of town, in the stretch along National Ave. between 12th St. and S. Pacific St., you’ll find a number of good selections including Italian / pizza and Mexican / southwestern restaurants. Along Grand Ave. and off some of its intersecting streets, there’s a variety of American and diner / café places. The place to go for fast food is 7th St. near Mills Ave., with a good number of the most popular chains available. Other options in town include steakhouse fare and Vietnamese / Asian. The area is great for picnics, so consider grabbing food to-go for a day of exploring.
