- AAprilSan Diego •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe have always loved all of the restaurants in Rancho Bernardo Inn. Avant is my favorite. It is dark, modern/traditional and elegant. They feature an extensive seasonal menu with selections for everyone, including those with dietary restrictions. The quality is top-notch and the service matches the overall high-end experience. Their seafood is the freshest and their meats and produce are the best available. They utilize their own garden, which I appreciate. The cocktails are unique and their wine list as well curated A few times a year they have wine pairing dinners that we recommend. We are never disappointed and there are pleasant surprises each visit.More infoAVANTPrice: Expensive• Californian• Poway / Rancho Bernardo•4.5

- JJanetVIPSan Diego •18 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 28, 2024Our waitress was wonderful. The restaurant was full and she never stopped moving and was always gracious. The golden beet salad is delicious. The deep dish pizzas make you eat one slice too many because it’s so good! Nice beer, wine and cocktail selection.More infoThe Shop - Rancho BernardoPrice: Moderate• Pizzeria• Poway / Rancho Bernardo•4.5

Discover Poway
A heartbeat away from the historic Gaslamp Quarter and about an hour from Disneyland, North San Diego is dotted with bars, nightclubs, cafes, craftsman cottages, and microbreweries. A little further north is Poway, an unincorporated community where all-American burgers are served fresh (never frozen!) with crispy fries and famous shakes and where seafood selections include classic calamari strips and sweet red crab. Nestled in the northern hills of San Diego, Rancho Bernardo is where you can work up an appetite playing golf and exploring rolling hills before treating yourself to carne asada, fish tacos, and other regional specialties. If you’re looking for something more exotic, savor some Turkish-Mediterranean or Greek eats, bite into a pulled-pork waffle, or build your own panini.
