Hilton Head Restaurants

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it was a great experience!Food was excellent and we will be back !

We visit the island 2-3 times a year and have always had our list of restaurants that we have to get to while here. Ela’s is now on that list for all future visits. My husband had the Yellowfin Tuna, which he said was the best preparation he has ever eaten. I ordered the steamed lobster with risotto, it was delicious. For dessert we split the chocolate peanut butter pie and actually had to take half of it home because it was a generous portion. From the tasty homemade bread and hush puppies to the dessert, everything was decadent. Service was extraordinary as well, with multiple wait staff working together to make sure dishes were delivered and cleared quickly. Lastly, the view was great, even though we came as the sun was going down and it was drizzling outside, the lighted deck and lighted walkway illuminated the marina area. Looking forward to seeing it in the light of day.

Michael Anthony’s is the penultimate culinary experience! We first enjoyed our blessed times here in this amazing restaurant when we lived in HHI from 2004-2008. Our favorite then and now, again during this current visit. Wait staff: highly customer-focused, present, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, and very capable, able to take high-level care even during busy moments. Manager checked in on us and ensured that our expectations were being wildly exceeded! Chef: scrumptious butternut squash soup with sausage was light, exquisite, and unforgettably delicious! My wife’s go-to favorite in all restaurants - the evening recipe salmon, stood out, cooked to her exact requirements & was her all-time favorite. My lasagna was extraordinary. My husband ordered the duck & he said his was cooked perfectly - medium rare. The scalloped potatoes & veggies (green beans & carrots) were also delicious. He cleaned his plate. I had the smoked salmon appetizer which was good, not much different than what can be found in Costco or ordering online - it came with a lovely horseradish & dill sauce. I also had the crab, avocado appetizer which was more interesting. We had an early reservation which is what I prefer to eating later, but there were people waiting by the time we left around 6:30.
