I look forward to coming to the Ship when I am in Norfolk. It is a special pub run by a great team. Specials menu was excellent. I had Delicious mussels with chips with a pint of Wherry. Great service and good price.. Ambience wonderful - warm fire in the hearth, beautiful Xmas tree, no screens or music just the background hum of people chatting and enjoying a meal out. Such a great place even better if you are a fan of crufts. Better in summer - when dog owners have more space outside.

Great appetiser, main, & for those who could manage it, dessert. Really good menu and the dishes we chose lived up to it. The portions are generous so don’t think about sides. There’s a nice ‘snug’ bar to have a pre-dinner & post dinner drink. The staff are absolutely lovely (as well as professional). It was full so there was a lively ‘buzz’ but it was just right, gave that atmosphere without intruding. Third time here, won’t be the last.

The Byfords Festivi-Tea was excellent. From the savoury bites, to the festive sandwiches, the small cakes were a delight, who knew you could have a mince pie macaron, it really worked. Thanks for a fabulous afternoon and to your wonderfully trained, friendly, attentive staff. Look forward to seeing you all again in March, we have golden tickets to redeem too.

I had the black treacle cured bacon steak and although it filled me up I could have had another, it was so good. Definitely recommend. Also the scotch eggs are to die for.
