- SSharonVIPGreater Boston •9 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoEnjoyed a sumptuous Christmas Day brunch. First time at the Blind Salamander. Lovely open feel that adds spaciousness to a fairly intimate space—with floor to ceiling views out over the resort grounds (and the golf course). Buffet offering extensive choices was set up at Multiple stations. (Carving, sides, salad, cheese, seafood, dessert). Service was attentive but not stuffy. The chef personally came to each table and offered greetings. Of special note: excellent prime rib, sides like chipotle sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts and fried oysters were amazing. Also the dessert offerings had tremendous variety and were artfully crafted as well as delicious. The pastry chef went truly above and beyond. The price point was a bit on the high side for buffet style but the quality and extensive menu made it worthwhile. Will go back for dinner sometime as their cocktail menu is interesting and reviews for seafood offerings are very good.More infoBlind Salamander Kitchen & BarPrice: Expensive• American• West Austin / Westlake•4.8
- KKatieHouston •7 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe booked the Christmas Eve dinner for our family with the set menu choices. For starters we tried the chicken soup and wedge salad. These were excellent. For the main, two of us ordered steak options (filet and ny strip) and were very pleased. We also got the brussel sprouts side, which was great. One of us tried the meatloaf cupcakes and was surprised by the flavor. Somewhat spicy with a fairly strong chili powder taste. I did taste this too and it was a surprise especially since the description didn't mention any tex-mex or southwestern flavor. I find Carve to consistently serve great meals and I can't wait to return.More infoCARVE American Grille - Barton CreekPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• South Austin•4.8

He let us the right way regarding food and drink, and everyone was incredibly attentive during a busy night. can’t recommend going there enough!
