- EElizabethNashville •1 review5.0Dined on Feb 17, 2025Fancypants was 10/10! Sunday res for 4 to celebrate my birthday. Complimentary cocktail at host station was made in front of us. Service team was bright, attentive but didn't hover, & showed care that our experience was satisfying. Restaurant & bathrooms were clean, well lit & not loud. Cocktails were delicious and tipsy snuck up on us. Serving sizes were great for sharing, but would be plenty for just one if you do 3-courses. Sundays are a la carte, great for trying everything, and we almost did! Each dish had great balance of salt/acid/heat/tang/fat/textures, plating was great - most are common/comfort with a twist/fusion that really elevated it. I truly enjoyed everything! Each dish had a different flavor profile than the last, which made it impossible to pick a favorite. Our server Tiernan helped to bucket for the best bang for our buck. Focaccia - crusty, wood fired, high gluten, olive oil was very high quality. Steak Tartare - the best I've ever had, great textures and the rice paper was a fun touch! Jammy Deviled Eggs - good pickled topping, yolk was truly jammy. Tea Leaf Caesar - in the top 3 salads I've ever had, almost ordered another, texture, crunch, anchovy-forward. Vodka Shells - great amped up staple, perfectly al dente, depth of onion flavor was perfect. Miso Butter Malfadine - a robust, earthy taste with glossy butter finish, delicious! Japanese Sweet Potato - don't skip, the way veg is supposed to taste, crunchy puffed rice, mint, glaze, YUM! Chewy Rice Noodles - perfectly cut noods, the broth/sauce was incredible, another crunchy layer because they thought of everything. Lion's Mane Mushroom - grilled, smoky flavor, very meaty, potato puree was so smooth. Short Ribs - very tasty, I was obsessed with the grit/polenta cake under it! Chocolate x3 - flourless cake, rich but balanced, not overly sweet thanks to the top/sauce. Birthday Cheesecake - light, crust was yummy, toasted meringue/mallow. Palate cleanser was surprising! Fresh mango gummies!More infoFancypantsPrice: Very Expensive• Fusion / Eclectic• East Nashville•5
