- NNancyNew York City •15 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoOceano's is always outstanding!! We brought friends who had never been there before, and they loved it! The food is very well-prepared and delicious! The service was outstanding, being very attentive but not at all intrusive. The ambiance is elegant and quiet, so that we had no problem talking in a normal speaking volume. If I were to make any negative comment at all, it would be that one of our diners, who has an allergy to onions and peppers, had a very difficult time finding something to eat, since there were no accommodations for that issue, and almost all of their side dishes had onions in them. They could not make any side dish from scratch, so she only was able to have vegetables. They could not make the risotto, rice, potatoes - nothing without onions, which I found rather strange. Most restaurants are more than willing to accommodate changes for allergy issues. Also, no one liked the Ekmek dessert, but the Vesuvius was delicious! Otherwise, it was fantastic! Bear in mind that it is pricey, but worth it. It was over $100 per person with no alcohol.More infoOceanos RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Fairlawn•4.8

- JJamesNew York City •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoBirthday luncheon with my daughter. The experience from the moment we valet parked to the time we left was was very good. The food was excellent except for the New England clam chowder that was a little watery and lacked taste. As mentioned before the service was “top notch” as was the desert treat provided compliments of the restaurant. Capital Grille does a very nice job recognizing a special occasion. Price was moderate for a luncheon menu Would definitely return for lunch in the future.More infoThe Capital Grille - ParamusPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Paramus•4.8

Discover Fair Lawn
Fair Lawn is only ten miles outside Manhattan, and its restaurant scene is reflective of the area's diversity. The city is attractive to diners desiring more eclectic offerings and those wanting tried and true recipes. Good diners, pizzerias, and sub shops are naturally in abundance here. For a quick local breakfast, grab a hard-baked kaiser roll loaded with scrambled eggs, American cheese, and the official meat of New Jersey: pork roll. Chinese cuisine of all sorts is easily found, as are good steaks or seafood. Those craving Greek or other Mediterranean specialties won't be disappointed here either. With an admirable array of eating experiences, Fair Lawn is worth a detour from the urban glitter.
