- JJenNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe were celebrating our 12th anniversary at Le Rivage after seeing a show. We love sitting at the bar, and they provided a perfect bar seat and experience. While full, the restaurant had the perfect ambience. Clearly, everyone was enjoying themselves but the noise level was never too loud to have a conversation with each other. The food was amazing. We enjoyed several French classics, like the frog legs, beef bourgignon, duck and poached pear. The steak tartare and cheese course was lovely as well. Our bartender was very attentive, and he answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations for wine and after dinner digestifs. Overall, Le Rivage has a lovely, French country atmosphere that will welcome you back for more.More infoLe RivagePrice: Expensive• French• Theater District•4.8

We needed to make a 1:00 theater, and our waiter was very attentive , personable and accommodating. Menu selections are ample. Prices reasonable. I had the bransini white fish with leeks and roasted potatoes. Partner had the pasta trio. Becco house Caesar salad comes with is outstanding Everything was delicious. Will certainly recommend to our friends.More infoBeccoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Theater District•4.5
- PPatriciaNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoThere were 10 of us & we had made reservations at 5 pm as we had 7 pm theater tickets. Our table was ready for us upon arrival & our waiter was friendly & on point from start to finish. Service was great without feeling rushed & his wine suggestion was perfect. The portions are huge so we started with the calamari & Caesar salad which was plenty for all of us & both very good. We chose 4 dishes, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Scaloppine, Rigatoni & Broccoli, & Penne alla Vodka & all were delicious. We all commnted that the Penne was the best we’d had as the sauce was not too heavy & perfectly spiced. Although we could have only ordered 3 dishes, we all enjoyed the variety of the 4 choices. We finished off with cappuccinos for the table & made it to the theater with 15 minutes to spare. We couldn’t have picked a better restaurant & the bonus was it was very reasonable. Great job Carmine’s!!More infoCarmine's - 44th Street - NYCPrice: Moderate• Italian• Theater District•4.6
- PPattiAtlanta Metro •11 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoHighly recommend this restaurant! We were a party of five and had reservations; we arrived early but they sat us immediately. Extensive menu selection so we needed extra time to decide what to order. All the food arrived quickly, hot and served at the same time… most importantly, everything was DELICIOUS! One warning: huge portions of food so we couldn’t finish and didn’t order dessert. Our server Lena was on point, friendly, attentive and patient with us. We came on a rainy mid-December night… the place was busy and loud but Lena and other staff were helpful and didn’t miss a beat. We will definitely come back when we return to NYC.More infoCarnegie Diner & Café – 828 8th Ave, New York, NYPrice: Moderate• American• Theater District•4.3

Discover Hell's Kitchen
There’s a lot in a name, and this westerly mid-Manhattan neighborhood has a no-frills food scene worthy of its infamous moniker. While the handle stems from the area’s notorious activity in the 19th century, it’s a different story today as it has become one of the city’s LGBT hot spots—with an abundance of watering holes to keep the party going. When it comes to the food scene, dining is low- key and comparably affordable to the rest of Manhattan. From burgers to tacos, cookies to pizza, there are humble gems to be found. An area once known for its grit continues to grow, with surprisingly tasty results.
