- MMelodyNorthwest Florida •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoI've been coming to apological for years. I've always wanted to stay at the Gibson end. So I decided this year. I would and let me say it was not the least bite disappointingly, everyone has been so friendly. Christmas dinner was excellent. I only gave it 4 stars for 1 minor reason, the chowder was barely warm, I feel certain that they would have warmed it if I had ask but they were so very busy and so kind I hated to complain, furmore ot was delicious. All in all It was a wonderful christmas meal. l would certainly recommend the Gibson Inn's Franklin caféMore infoFranklin Café at the Gibson InnPrice: Expensive• Regional American (Southern)• Apalachicola•3.7

Discover Apalachicola
Remember the scene in "Forrest Gump" when Bubba lists all of the varieties of shrimp? A similar scene could be written about the varieties of seafood available in Apalachicola, Florida. In addition to a mind-boggling selection of fresh Atlantic and Gulf oysters, Apalachicola has a number of restaurants that serve tuna, swordfish, and even shark. Each restaurant has its own special way to utilize the ocean's bounty with everything from sushi and fried fish to Spanish-style tapas. Apalachicola is also home to a number of Southern, Creole, and soul food establishments. Additionally, Apalachicola offers one of the nation's last true soda fountains where you can enjoy a real cherry Coke as well as the bubbly and chocolatey confection known as an egg cream.
