- MMichaelNew York City •1 review4.0Dined 3 days agoWas overall good. Sat us at a table that should not have been a table. We were basically on top of another 2-top and in their conversation, and my wife kept turning off the lights accidentally because the light switch was directly behind her head. I had put in the reservation notes that it was my birthday, and it was never mentioned, and I thought where they sat us was not in line with what 2 people celebrating a birthday would want. Brought us Aqua Panna when they asked if we wanted still or sparkling. That always feels like a money-grab gimmick to me. The default should be to offer tap (which is also still). They include a 20% gratuity automatically, which is fine, but good to know going in. We had oysters and a Caesar salad to start, which were very good. My wife got the lobster ravioli special (delicious) and I got a burger. Burger was pretty good. Heavy on the fried onions. I ordered medium and it came out rare/medium rare, but still tasty. Will go back, but probably not for a special occasion.More infoJerry's BarPrice: Moderate• Bar / Lounge / Bottle Service• Northern Liberties•4.8

12 of Philadelphia’s outstanding spots for celebrating special occasions
Maybe you got engaged on the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art or just picked up the keys to your first rowhouse. Opt for a quieter night at a critically acclaimed, plant-based gem in Midtown Village. Or splurge on a swanky steakhouse that presides over a corner of Rittenhouse Park. Whether you’re after an intimate spot for an anniversary date or a convivial atmosphere for a boisterous reunion, Philadelphia has you covered with these 12 celebration-worthy restaurants.
