Walked over to Lionne next door and had an amazing dinner. Enjoyed delicious lobster bisque, a traditional NLI flavor. Our entree was beautifully browned scallops, black rice with light raisins for a little sweet, tiny tomatoes and spicy micro greens. We were very impressed with both the great flavors and original presentation. The dessert we chose was a yummy chocolate cake with fresh fruit, sherbet and lemon cream. After moving to State College two years ago, and visiting every summer for over 20 years, this was our first visit to the Allen Street Grill. Food was excellent, our server Emilianna (sic) was very attentive. It was a football weekend, so some noise was to be expected due to the large parties, but we older folks were able to converse easily without shouting. Ask for a table upstairs if you can. It's a BYOB but they do have some wines for sale. We had a trio of dips with pita, lamb kebobs, lamb chops, & moussaka. Everyone loved their meal.
