   Very nice host however had to wait over 35 min in cold outside past our reservation time. Seated in small loud basement. Server took another 30 min just to take our drink and food order. We were not informed of the specials yet the table next to us was. Would have been nice to know them. Then my entrees came about 25 min later but the other two people in my party did not get their food until an hour later. I was completely finished eating before they even got their food- we had to prompt the food helper to see what was going on. My eggplant was watery and undercooked, the mussels were gritty and not properly prepped clearly. The caprese was good. The scampi pasta was over cooked and the shrimp a lackluster whitish undercooked and barely a hint of pink. The bolognese was good but a little salty. The server dropped our check and did mot offer a drink, coffee or dessert. I guess they needed the table after what was over a 3 hour experience. The waiter did mot talk to us once except to take our order and drop off the check. It was insulting as he was repeatedly walking over to a large party he was providing a lot of service to as well as the other 2 tables he was tending to. It was at terrible experience overall and we could not have been more insulted with what was not great food paired with a worse experience and poor service. We tried to inform the restaurant of our experience and they could care less. Ever was the person I spoke with to no avail and offered nothing more than an empty less than genuine acknowledgment. Last do not trust the prices on here/ add 40% and those are the real prices. You’ll see!

   Nico's is always an amazing experience with the nicest people. The service, delicious selections, and ambience sets them apart. It is our first choice every time we visit the north-end.

    Nico always has delicious and authentic southern Italian food, and if you can get a reservation, don't miss it. The service is great and you'll feel happy (and so full!) after a lovely meal!
