   We arrived  an hour early and we're welcomed and greeted kindly and actually got a table within 10 minutes. It was a wonderful way to spend the day with my mom. We can't wait to come back in the warm weather!

   We went there for a Saturday lunch and it was wonderful. Very quiet with tables of guest all spread out to keep the what little noise there was spread out. Our server was very attentive and happy to give suggestions on favorite foods. When the food came it was plentiful and delicious. Of course the Inn is lovely inside to make it a great place to eat.

   It was our 1yr "inn"aversary, and we walked over for a great lunch. Service, food, and ambiance are always amazing. The Inn is definitely our neighborhood gem. Highly recommended.

   We were very disappointed with the prefix Valentines menu. For $100 a person, before drinks/tip/tax, we were left underwhelmed with the food. And let me preface everything I’m about to write with - I recognize this is a fancy restaurant and to not expect large portions. But I’m a firm believer in restaurants finding the balance of quality and quantity. The starting course was a very thinly sliced bruschetta and each person received one piece. It was bland, with cheese and a tomato on top. The second course was a French onion soup that came in a very small quantity with two croutons and a little bit of cheese, and it was overly salty. The main course was a steak which was cooked very well, but was set on top of bland potatoes and broccolini. Dessert was the best parts and tasted very good. But you were only option was to split one piece of cake. I think the restaurants could have done a much better job finding that balance between the quantity of food and the quality of food. I honestly felt like the meal value was $60 per person maximum - and that feels generous. It’s a shame, we really enjoy the ambience of the restaurant and the location. We had a fantastic meal off the menu 10 years ago. And when we first sat at our table, the couple next to us mentioned their displeasure of the food to their waitress, and that should’ve been our indication to leave and try some of the other restaurants in town. I know the restaurant can do better and will hopefully do better! We sent an email with these thoughts and never got a response.

   Nicollet Island Inn delivered an absolutely charming and romantic Valentine’s Day experience. From the moment we arrived, the ample parking made things stress-free—a rarity in Minneapolis. The ambiance was intimate, with soft lighting and a cozy, historic feel that set the perfect tone for the evening. The four-course meal was well thought out and executed beautifully: •Bruschetta – A fresh, flavorful start with perfectly toasted bread and vibrant toppings. •French Onion Soup – Rich, savory, and packed with deep caramelized onion flavor. The melted cheese on top was the perfect touch. Just above average •Filet Mignon Medallions & Pan-Seared Halibut – Both entrées were cooked to perfection. The filet was tender and juicy, while the halibut had a gorgeous sear with a delicate, buttery texture. •Chocolate Cake – A decadent and satisfying end to the meal. Rich, moist, and exactly what you want for dessert on Valentine’s Day. Above average The cocktails were also top-notch, well-balanced, and crafted with attention to detail. Service was warm and attentive without feeling rushed, making the evening feel extra special. If you’re looking for a romantic and elevated dining experience in the Twin Cities, Nicollet Island Inn is a fantastic choice. We’ll definitely be back for another special occasion!

   excellent food (onion soup was a little thin and bland), everything else was superb. Service (shout out to Ann) was fabulous.
