In the Royal Lancaster Hotel, the Nipa Thai restaurant has been named after the original Nipa Restaurant in the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok. Lots of teak panelling, traditional Thai furnishings and artefacts lend an authentic air. All the staff dressed in traditional Thai costume are from Thailand - even the lady chefs. This authentic Thai restaurant is one of the first 15 recipients of the 'Thai Select' award - this award has been described as being the first ever Michelin-style award for Thai restaurants proven to be performing to the highest standards of quality and cuisine, and is awarded by the Thai Government. We think this award sums up Nipa Thai rather nicely. What's cooking? Kai Haw Bai Toey - deep fried marinated chicken in pandanus leaves, Kaeng Kiew Warn Kai - chicken in green curry soup, also recommended the Nipa platter - a selection of the chef's special Thai starters.

This really is a hidden gem inside one of London’s big hotels. Last night it was particularly busy in there, so a little bit noisy but quite manageable. The service was up to its usual high standard the food was delicious. A little pricey, but I guess that that’s what happens when you eat in the hotel restaurant.

Sehr empfehlenswert und die vielen positiven Beurteilungen sind absulut zutreffend. Grosse Portionen, sodass eine Beilage für 2 Peronen reicht.

We had the most wonderful evening at Nipa Thai. Beautiful restaurant, exceptionally friendly, polite and professional staff. The food was exquisitely presented and delicious! Generous portion sizes and staff happy to advise and answer any questions. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back there ourselves. Thank you so much.

Good food, nice environment - we will be back! The Google page give 2 ££, however this restaurant is more on the expensive-side. But the food is nicely presented and tastes good.

As we had several of our party unfamiliar with Thai food we chose one of their set menus which gave us a platter of 4 starters followed by 4 mains, Phad Thai and rice then a very nice coconut ice cream to finish. Very attentive friendly, service and the food was plentiful and extremely tasty
