Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Jennifer Chow

From the OpenTable editors: Come to legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s Caesars Palace spot for the refined Japanese-inspired dishes that made the restaurant a global phenomenon. Dressed with lanterns and natural wooden accents, the elegant dining room sets the stage for a decadent meal of knockout sushi along with Nobu classics like miso black cod. For a full-on celebration, get the omakase menu, prepared tableside on teppanyaki grills.

Portions have shrunk, prices are up. Too expensive for what it is. $25 for two pieces of the least expensive species of sushi?? Really?

Nobu - Caesars Palace Las Vegas is an amazing Restaurant. It is very deserving of its 5 STAR rating. You must try the wagyu tacos, vegetable tacos, A5 wagyu steak grilled flambé (their guests favorite dish), and of course dessert. The vanilla miso tart was scrumptious - YUM YUM. Lastly, the bartender made us really great mocktails.

My wife and I visit Vegas often and try to find a new restaurant to check out each time we come… unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our choice this time. We were so excited to try Nobu! Couldn’t wait. We’ve been talking about it to all our friends and family. I don’t think they will like the rest of the story when we get home. The hostess was wonderful! Matched our excitement and we were brought to the table, but the good times ended there. We were handed a drink menu when we sat down, and then told “your server will bring the menu because we like to explain it.” Awesome I thought. My wife and I love food, but we are not culinary experts, and the menu online lacked descriptions, so some explanation would be great. But, that’s not what happened. Our server arrived. He asked for our drink order. He took mine (it was easy, I was just having water at the start). Then My wife asked a question about the green tea drink. Instead of answering her question, he proceeded to say “just get the regular iced green tea, then left. He came back with the drink my wife didn’t want and with the menus, asked if we’ve been here before, we answered no. Then in a 20sec speed race he brushed over the general categories of the menu and said he’d be back. At that point, my wife and I were already getting frustrated. He came back and asked if we were ready to order or have any questions. Well we had a ton. After trying to get some specific descriptions of the food, we got short this is 6 piece this is single, you’d be better doing the larger things than piecing the single things together. Well, that’s was not what we asked. At this point the choice was ask for a different server would would actually help us, or leave. We left and went across the hall to a place we know and love! I would give ZERO stars if I could, or at least an N/A on the food part. Maybe we’ll try Nobu on a different trip, but it’s going to take some time (and some sense that things have changed) before we do.
