Nuvolari’s is a warm and inviting Italian restaurant, nestled on the Northshore of New Orleans in Old Mandeville. For over 40 years, loyal customers have enjoyed Italian food, friendship and celebrations around our tables. Nuvolari’s menu features traditional Italian fare alongside creative fresh dishes. Dining options include intimate indoor seating with a relaxed exterior patio. We offer Happy Hour in the bar and patio Thursday from 4:00-6:00. We also serve Lunch on Friday from 11:00-2:00. Our wine list is appreciated by both connoisseurs and newcomers, with a diverse selection by the glass and bottle.

                                                                                                                              Redfish Piccata - fabulous the portion was plentiful, bursting with flavor and a hint of sweetness in the sauce. The shrimp and eggplant appetizer served as a meal and again the portions were plentiful, crispy eggplant medallions with a crispy panko crust atop a sherry cream sauce and shrimp. We had a bottle of Bella Glos - Dairyman. Food spectacular, ambiance a little too tight on the table distance and on a Saturday evening be ready for the restaurant to be loud and busy. Make a reservation and enjoy!

                                                                                                                              All of our food was very good. I had the whole trout special and it was fantastic. The service was average as they seemed understaffed for how many tables they had.

The greeter/hostess was not enthusiastic, and seated us with minimal effort or enthusiasm. On the other hand, our table hostess was very attentive and friendly. That was the most positive experience of the entire night. The table we were seated at was next to an extremely loud group, and that was unfortunate. The night was less memorable than expected. Food ok.
