O&B Canteen is a casual, fresh market café and “grab and go” counter located in the heart of Toronto’s entertainment district in the TIFF Bell Lightbox at King and John streets. Created by celebrated fine dining restaurateurs Peter Oliver and Chef Michael Bonacini, all of O&B Canteen’s offerings are chef-prepared with fresh ingredients, from housemade sandwiches and breakfast butties to roasted half chicken and steak frites. The pizza was edible but not delicious. The haloumi plate was a joke for $26.00. It was a plate of raw spinach (which was not on the menu) with 2 pieces of cheese and a few bits of beets and grapefruit. They substituted a small salad and put tons of pepper on it. It was inedible. They did eventually remove the charge for the plate and salad. The server was delightful and understanding. We will not return although it's so close to the theatres.

This was my second time there but had it been my first it would probably have been my last. My espresso martini was basically an iced coffee in a fancy glass with no actual martini part despite the menu saying it had 4oz of alcohol. Pepperoni pizza was all oil. I had to ask for extra napkins to sop up the oil before I would eat it. I got a lot off and there was still lots of oil. Pizza was tasty and had an abundance of pepperoni on it. Our waiter wasn’t the swiftest. Bathrooms were a mess. One was out of service, one was locked and you couldn’t use it because someone blew it up and they hadn’t cleaned it which left only one to be used. That one bathroom needed some serious attention too. Don’t know if I’d bother running back for a third go

Amazing food and service! The smash burgers were to die for, and the desserts were so good. Highly recommend. Our waiter was super helpful without being constantly in our face. We loved our experience

As always, a great place to go for brunch when we are in the city. Very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The burger with caesar salad was very good but the fish tacos were extremely small and overly spicy. Service was good and our meals came quickly which was good as I had an appointment I had to get to. It was very busy and noisy as there is nothing to soak up sounds.

My hubby and I went here for a pre-theatre meal and it was good. We were seated promptly with water filled for us. The menu is quite limited but we found things we liked. We ordered a mimosa, the Benedict and the fish and chips. Both dishes were quite delicious, and served promptly.

Service very good, ambiance good, but for the cost of my Kale Csesar Salad with chicken, I felt the salad could have been a bit bigger.
