    We love Ocean Prime. They do a wonderful job always and especially for special occasions. Our server, Rick, was extraordinary! The food was awesome as always. My only complaint was our table of 5 had my chair sticking out in the walkway of the private room they used to seat us. I got bumped by wait staff all night. Despite this, we had a wonderful experience.

    We saw the carrot cake online and made a booking inspired by their dessert! We ordered a few sushi rolls, and the 10oz fillet. We also got their smoked Gouda tater tots and the chop salad. The steak was seasoned and cooked well. The rolls were great! The tots were not served hot….we each only had one. The main event for us was the 10-layer carrot cake. We are big fans of the carrot cake from trulucks and from driftlight (here in Tampa). This carrot cake presented beautifully…..but it tasted old and stale. The cake was dry and had a faint taste like it had been previously frozen. We each only had a bite….it wasn’t worth the calories (unfortunately). Maybe it was an off night for them. We have seen great reviews for the carrot cake. Another time I suppose….

    Place is beautiful everything is great except 2 things the seating are to me to close and the music didn’t match the restaurant I believe some jazz or any form of instrumental would’ve been great

    While the food was really good, the pricing has gotten out of control. $25 per ounce of meat, no matter how good, just seems excessive (and required a minimum of 4 ounces). The waiter also should have known not to pour all 9 ounces of the wine I ordered into the glass - if somebody orders one glass of their best Cabernet they want to enjoy it slowly. Total bill at the end for 2 people closed in on $500. You can find more reasonable spots in Tampa
