        After waiting a year to get to DC, the Old Ebbitt was on our list to enjoy a classic establishment in the heart of downtown. Upon arriving we were escorted into the beautiful old establishment and out into an area that must be an annex. We were seated in an area only to be described as outside the actual restaurant and into an adjoining lobby area. My guest and I were disappointed to say the least. The oyster app was good not great. Then we get the salads and mains at the same time. The food is what to be expected. Such a disappointment to travel across the country with the expectation of eating at a legacy restaurant only to be seated in an odd space attached to the main dining area. If we wanted to eat in a space that feels and looks like a hotel lobby we could have stayed at our fine hotel. Boyd Mothe

        A consistently great establishment. The food is fantastic, scrumptious, and delicious. I had the best hummus in DC at the Old Ebbitt believe it or not. The salads are excellent and so are the steaks . My must-go to destination whenever I'm in DC.

        Iconic place. Seamless service. Wonderful atmosphere. The food wasn't sublime, but it was v good and the atmosphere made up for it. Try to get a booth!
