The Old Lyme Inn’s restaurant and bar offers guests contemporary New England Fare in a casual yet elegant atmosphere. Our chef embraces the changing seasons and bounty of the Connecticut River Valley to offer creative menus that change weekly.
Since it's opening in April 2012, the restaurant has quickly become a celebrated meeting place for visitors and locals alike. The inn boasts three different dining rooms, a grand eight seat bar and a fireplace adorned library. The Side Door Jazz Club offers shows every Friday and Saturday night and has been recognized by 'Down Beat' magazine as one of the best jazz venues in the world.

Relax and depart from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season...We invite you to stay a while over a cup of Holiday Tea in our festively decorated inn. Our historic dining rooms are beautifully decorated for the holidays, complete with three fireplaces, swagged mantles and Christmas trees. Indulge in mini beef wellington, turkey-cranberry and cucumber sandwiches; on the savory side. Save room for our cranberry-white chocolate scones, mini eggnog creme brulee, red velvet cupcakes, peppermint-dark chocolate bark and French macarons. We'll be steeping Harney and Son's famous 'Holiday Tea', peppermint and winter white. Perhaps a poinsettia prosecco cocktail? Little Elves' will enjoy hot cocoa with marshmallows and their own special menu.

Ring in the New Year with us at the Old Lyme Inn! Our chef has created a beautiful, four course prix fixe menu that is suiting of the occasion. Our menu includes classics like lobster bisque and his famous oyster's Rockefeller as well as filet mignon, seared duck breast and an espresso martini panna cotta. Upon arrival you'll be greeted with a glass of prosecco to start the merriment and presented with our specialty cocktail and wine list. Reservations are required and please check out the Side Door for performance times that evening.

Beautiful cozy inn! Staff was super friendly. We had the stuffed mushrooms, New England clam chowder, Mediterranean cod special and a Caesar salad with steak topper. Finished with coffee and flourless chocolate cake. Will definitely return.

Everything was great except for bar service - which was extremely slow and drinks were not at the level they should have been. It took 15 minutes to get a cocktail and it room 12 mins to get a Diet Coke from the bar. Outside of this, great place.

Fantastic happy hour cocktails and beer choices! Best hamburger on the shoreline! Stuffed mushrooms are pretty awesome too! Look forward to returning soon!

For a thanksgiving meal the food was awesome!! Only complaint the mashed potatoes needed a smidge of flavor. More butter or garlic. They had a man playing the piano and there was a bass cello as well. Very classy will definitely come back.
