Since it's opening in April 2012, the restaurant has quickly become a celebrated meeting place for visitors and locals alike. The inn boasts three different dining rooms, a grand eight seat bar and a fireplace adorned library. The Side Door Jazz Club offers shows every Friday and Saturday night and has been recognized by 'Down Beat' magazine as one of the best jazz venues in the world.

Celebrate Valentine's Day every Saturday for the month of February with our 'Galentine's Day' tea! However, it's not only for the gals... We'll be featuring Harney's and Son's chocolate-rose Valentine's Day tea, as well as our signature 'Paris' and Earl Grey. Sweets will include conversation heart cookies, chocolate-merlot cupcakes, chocolate pot de creme , red velvet cheesecake bites and our famous chocolate-cherry scones. Don't forget about the savory- brie and cranberry tartlets, beet & goat cheese crostini and roast beef pinwheels...oh my! Little cherubs will get to choose a grilled cheese or nutella and fluff and of course, hot chocolate. We We do ask if you are gluten free to please include that in your reservation notes.

Treat yourself and your sweetheart to a decadent, three course dinner in our romantic, historic inn. Our special 'love birds' menu will be served Friday, 2/14 and Saturday 2/15. We will not have an a la carte menu available. Our menu includes a choice of lobster-shrimp bisque, kale ceasar, raw bar sampler, beef carpaccio or a Boston bibb salad to start. For mains, choose between a decadent filet mignon, seafood duet of sea scallops and stuffed lobster, rack of lamb, sea bass or wild mushroom fettucine. Save room for sweets...a finale of blood orange cheesecake, pavlova or chocolate mousse with a raspberry coulis. Make it extra special by staying the evening or going to our Side Door Jazz Club!

We have dined at this restaurant a few times and were not disappointed. We decided to try the lunch menu this time and we were very pleased with the menu choices. The special beef and veggies soup was outstanding which really could have been a meal in itself since the portion was large and so delicious. I had the croissant sandwich with Bree which I felt had to be one of the best sandwiches I ever had. The atmosphere on a winter day was very pleasant and inviting. Tosh who helped with our reservations and overall time at this restaurant was amazing. She made us feel like family rather than just guests and by the way makes an outstanding Sangria. Our server was very attentive, kind and helpful in making decisions on lunch. Thank you to the staff at The Old Lyme Inn in making our afternoon a memorable experience. We look forward to returning!

Excellent Jazzy brunch! We had the bloody Mary’s and Benedict’s. Food was excellent and the Jazz band was perfect. We had a great time. Will be back

As soon as we entered the inn, a staff member warmly welcomed us and directed us to the dining room, giving us some helpful information about the show to follow dinner. Everyone was cordial and attentive and our food was flavorful and scrumptious. We could not have been more pleased with the entire experience!
