Old Tbilisi Garden Is The Only Georgian Restaurant In Greenwich Village, New York City. Old Tbilisi Garden opened on July 4th, 2014. Since then, it has been one of the only few restaurants that offer authentic Georgian Cuisine in Manhattan. Winemaking is deeply rooted in Georgia’s history, culture
and economy. The world’s first cultivated grapevines are
thought to have originated in the country’s fertile valleys
some 8,000 years ago. Georgia’s long winemaking history
has given rise to unique methods of production, such as
the “Kakhetian rule”. Georgians make wine that is aged and
stored in a special cone-shaped clay vessel known as
a Qvevri.

    Not what I would expect from Georgian cuisine. The flavor was very bland and they sauce was watery. I got chakapuli and some other similar dish - very underwhelming. The atmosphere is loud. All in all had the food been good I’d recommend it for the quality of service but the food was below average to put it mildly. Khinkali were not juicy and rather overcooked inside.

    Very tasty food, the appetizers were okay..cabbage steak was tasty but very difficult to cut. Labio entree was too good! The corn bread with it was delicious

    A person from Georgia suggested that I try their cuisine; I searched for Georgian food in nyc - and found it! Really wonderful place, great food, wonderful people and first rate service

    Very authentic Georgian food as I remember from long stay in Tbilisi years ago. Truly hospitable host and entire staff was very friendly and accommodative. For NYC restaurant interior feels comfortable and spacious with views on lovely patio.

    Food is great, waitstaff is helpful when deciding what to order, and overall it's an interesting and friendly experience. This was my second time at this restaurant, and I'll go back again!

    The waitress was not the most pleasant person, and while the food was tasty, it is extremely overpriced in my opinion for this type of restaurant. We’ve gone to a number of places in New Jersey that have the same type of food, and it is much more reasonably priced Overall satisfied with the dinner, but would not go back

    We had very bad experience. We waited for 40 minutes our food to be served. Only we got the cold starter. Then cheese bread. When we asked to the waiter about our main dishes, she could t say they forgot our orders. One of the food we ordered was delivered to another table. My expectation was high with the restaurant however service and the setup was bad. The first table we sat was cold and some disco music running background in a Georgian restaurant. Don’t think I’ll go again this restaurant.
