Neighbourhood gem

Olivier Bistro represents true French cuisine and sensibility. Traditional French Bistro in a cozy setting with sidewalk seating that takes you to the streets of Paris. We offer daily specials, including a variety of whole fish options, oysters, and steaks sold by the oz cut from the bone. Finish your meal with our well-known creme brulee and moelleux au chocolate. We are a 5-minute drive to the Barclay Center and 5 minutes to Prospect Park. We welcome you to join us for our Brunch where you will enjoy French cuisine at its finest and yes we have Bloody Marys! Had a delicious meal last weekend. Started with escargot 🐌 😋 and then steak sans fries and had mashed potatoes instead. Husband had a salad and mussels with 🍟- his fries and mussels were delicious as well. A charming place —- feels like you’re in 🇫🇷 and not on 4th Avenue in Brooklyn. Lovely staff as well.

They were very accommodating and great service. I got the duck rare but I think I’ll get it on the medium next time. Didn’t realize they only took Amex so had to use the atm. Wish they took other cards.

A favorite spot for me and my friends. The food is simple and delicious, the service is fantastic and I just find it incredibly cozy. Highly recommend

Sometimes in life there are coincidences. I like to call them miracles. My first time staying in Brooklyn as we are returning to our hotel on 4th Ave. I spy a French Flag and I see the name Olivier Bistro and I think to myself, “Self might this be a place for dinner. Returning to our hotel, the Liberty View at 29th St. I got on my phone to investigate the menu. Immediately, I knew this was a real French restaurant and was I right. When you enter, there is a black curtain. Emerging one sees small, plain wooden tables and chairs; simple, elegance. The staff are prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. The food is superb, preparations perfect and timing, one of the ways I assess the excellence of a restaurant, was as accurate as an atomic clock See my photos specific reviews.
