We had delicious food and great service. I had the large raviolis stuffed with crab and shrimp in a light cream sauce. My friend had the pasta and salmon dish, and she had plenty to take home. I chose the Opera Cafe because it was 5 minutes away from the SD Civic Theater, where we went afterward. I was very happy with my choice. Definitely recommend you eat there.

Was pleasently surprised by this place. What it lacks in curb appeal is made up for in the quality of food. We will go back.

Operacaffe is my favorite Italian in the Gaslamp. Last night I ordered the mushroom ravioli with butter sage sauce. I get it often. But last night it was too salty. My friend had the lasagna and said she wouldn't order it again. Maybe just an off night?? I'll sure give it another try.

Great food and service. Make sure to make reservation. Definitely worth dining here if you’re in the Gaslamp District.

Our pasta dishes were served cold. Tasted horrible We saw plates sitting on the counter from the kitchen for 10 minutes. Sure enough those were ours. Waitress did offer to heat the food up. Creamy base foods do not heat up well.

Perfect spot to enjoy dinner before the theater! We shared the La Mista salad…incredible salad dressing. The greens were chilled perfectly and the carrots and Persian cucumbers were crunchy fresh. One of had the lasagna…thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and it had just come out of the oven. The other had the ravioli fattore …spinach ravioli with spicy vodka sauce and porcini mushrooms. Wonderful! Ravioli was perfectly cooked. The sauce was VERY good and not too spicy.
