Osteria is a neighborhood gem and regular haunt for those of us who live in Shirlington. A friend and I decided to do the pre-fixe menu they offered for New Year's Eve as the price was good and we would not have to drive to get there. Everything about the night was great. Our table wasn't ready in time, so Nino, the owner, had us over to the bar and gave us complimentary Prosecco. We ran into friends and chatted, and the staff was patient with us doing so even after our table was ready and waiting. The menu offered many choices, which was really nice. I had a beef tenderloin cooked perfectly medium, as I had asked. My friend had scallops that were done just right. Our cocktails were wonderful and our waiter was so on point with the service; we asked for the second course and wine to be held until we were done with cocktails and appetizers, and the waiter went out of his way to make sure this happened. He was so attentive to us. We had a late seating and were not rushed to get out of the restaurant, so we had a leisurely two hours there. Thank you again, Osteria, for such a lovely night and, of course, we will be back.

We had a perfect Christmas Eve dinner. The adults loved the veal, branzino, chicken piccata, ravioli, and arancini. The grandchildren equally loved the pizza and pasta. The atmosphere is elegant and comfortable. The tables are adequately spaced so you aren’t squeezed in. The wine list is reasonably priced and the staff is attentive. It was a memorable evening in a wonderful restaurant.

An EXCEPTIONAL experience. Food and service were above and beyond what we could have hoped for. Noise was low and ambiance was perfect given it was an exceptionally busy night and one of their busiest of the year. This will be a new annual Christmas Eve tradition for my family.

Beautiful, cozy restaurant right by Signature Theater. The staff was incredibly attentive and the food delicious. Our server, Wendy, was lovely. The owner was circulating around noting every detail, and he came by to greet our family as well. The noise level was totally fine too, which is such a great surprise these days when so many restaurants have blaring music and concrete ceilings. I would highly recommend this place.
