   We had a wonderful meal at Ostra. There were 6 of us, we each ordered a different appetizer and entrees and it was all sensational. The atmosphere of the restaurant seems to lack a clear direction which might make the typical patron think twice about making a reservation here but this restaurant was the best meal we had on our 4 day trip to San Antonio. Highly recommend.

   We enjoyed the food and dinning experience greatly. Our waiter Yaya was excellent. He helped with menus selections and was kind. Our isles were tasty and interesting and well constructed and plated.

   The oysters were fresh but very small. We have paid far less for better oysters. The halibut was good, but lack a complimentary sauce/butter...etc. The Clams Casino was epically dull - I finally grabbed the pepper & salt shakers and did what wasnt done in the kitchen. The Clam Chowder was excellent, and the best part of both meals. Good, you know how to make soup - like a lot of people. They want to be upscale, and they have the potential, but are missong the mark.

   Beautiful evening on the Riverwalk. Butter Braised Halibut was perfectly prepared and the Valentine’s Day special Dover Sole was delicious.

   I am in San Antonio 2-3 times per year (from Tulsa) for work and try to eat at Ostra when I can. I was introduced to this establishment approximately 8 years ago by a former student of mine who was on the wait staff. My experience dining here has always been great in all aspects. I highly recommend!

   Our waiter was on point and efficient. Staff very friendly. Redfish was the tastiest!!

   We had showed up at 730 and our reservation was nowhere to be found. I discovered that I reserved at 730am instead of PM The manager sympathized and made accommodations for us. I was very grateful. My Valentines plans could have been ruined. Thank you Ostra!

    Nice restaurant on canal and service was very good. I had clams linguini and it tasted excellent. I was a little disappointed that it contained 3 clams and was pretty expensive (almost $30). I can understand the prices being a little higher due to location but I thought this was a little too much.
